Horst Jankowski Baby But Grand

So there were a few albums, more than a few actually, in my collection that I had a hard time placing into a category because I had no idea who the artist was. Quite frankly they ended up placed based on my assumptions from the album cover, scientific no, affective only half time. -laughs- Today was a day from the Classical/Big Band/World rotation and the first two records I pulled from there had to quickly be sent into the country stack for review at a later date.

So here we are with album number three and a nice upbeat classical piece by Horst Jankowski.  I am not sure how I feel about this really. It's very "Love is a many splendored thing" from the beginning of Grease. Not bad music just not sure what you do with music like this. Mayhap it would have been better for later in the day it just might be a little bit to cheery for six in the morning.

Horst Jankowski Baby But Grand
  • That's Life
  • What Now My Love
  • Serenata Romantica
  • The Spy with a Cold Nose
  • Shne-Boo-Bedee-Bop
  • The More I See You
  • The Sand Pebble
  • Beautiful Hong Kong Girl
  • Lost Love
  • Big Big River

Overall not a bad record. It's got a bit of a jazzy feel to it which is a nice change of pace. The man can wail on the ivory's for sure.
